Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
The interpretation of the blood report is as follows:
The red cell morphology and red cell indices suggests microcytic hypochromic anemia.
Microcytic hypochromic anemia is caused most commonly due to iron deficiency.
Thus, iron study is suggested to assess the levels of iron in blood.
In case iron deficiency is found, iron supplements have to be taken.
The presence of occult blood in stools is the most probable cause of presence of iron deficiency.
The cause of occult blood in stools has to be found.
Lower gastrointestinal tract assessment needs to be done by colonoscopy.
Piles can be the cause, however, other causes like growth in the large intestine has to be looked for.
Presence of pus cells in stool can be due to infection in the lower GIT.
However, initially it is important to know the cause of occult blood in stools.

thanks and take care
